Some of my fondest memories involve travelling. Road trips, camping, touring historic sites, domestic US and abroad. I have a profound love of history, so travelling is one of the ways I feed that hunger. I love going somewhere and imagining what life was like 100, or 500, or 1000 years ago, superimposing the way I imagine it was over the way it is now in my mind’s eye. I enjoy the various architecture, always lagging behind while staring straight up at some building or another. I love exploring and finding unique things in the ordinary, like the painted Doyers Street in Chinatown in New York City, or the public garden planted in the ruins of St Dunstan in the East in London. I also find that reading has a way of adding to my list of places I must visit, and it is a long list indeed.
In these posts, you’ll find little snippets of my travels. I’ll tell you my favorite places to eat and visit, random unique things we found on our journey, and more. I’m not a photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures, so be warned! Have you been to any of these places? Where have you been? Where would you like to go?
